LET’S MAKE SOMETHING LOVELY

Cranberry orange tea

An editorial starting recipe, ready for your own taste adjustments. It has not yet been kitchen-tested by Tea Planet.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup / 240 ml water
  • ¼ cup / 25 g fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 strip orange peel / about 2 g, washed, with little white pith
  • 1 black tea bag / about 2 g
  • 2 tbsp / 30 ml fresh orange juice
  • 1–2 tsp / 4–8 g sugar, to taste

Method

  1. Put the water, cranberries and orange peel in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 6 minutes, gently pressing the berries as they soften.
  2. Remove from the heat. Add the tea bag and steep for 3 minutes.
  3. Remove the bag, then strain the liquid through a fine-mesh strainer into a heat-safe mug. Press the berries lightly.
  4. Stir in the orange juice and sugar to taste. Serve warm.
